I love holiday traditions. Big or small, they comfort me in some way. No matter what else happens, I like the fact that I can count on them. Most times we can’t remember the origin of a tradition. It just always was. Then there are those that start out as a fluke and continue year after year, until finally they’re embedded into our spirit.

One of my family’s holiday tradition is that after we load up on turkey, ham, and every carb known to man, we sit around the dinning room table and have Fireball shots. By the way, this is an adult only ritual. There aren’t any young kids in my family. ūüôā

In addition to the Fireball, someone usually¬†brings another type of shot as well.¬†Two years ago I introduced tequila shots to my then¬†81-year-old mother and my brother-in-law’s 73-year-old father. Fun times. Another year we had lemon drops. Then there was the time we had Fireball soaked Circus Peanuts. Not sure who came up with that one.

Anyway, no matter what traditions you have, the most important thing is that you share them with those you love.
