As I write this I’m listening to Tweet and Noah’s song,  Everything by Lifehouse. I’ve listened to Jason Wade’s incredible voice  so many times I’ve lost count.  This song inspired me through all the Tweet and Noah scenes. I can’t hear it and not think of them. I’ll tell you a little secret. Whenever I see another author use it for their book trailer or post about it being their character’s song, I get bent and a little possessive.

Each day this week I’ll be sharing some fun stuff about each book. trivia, exclusive excerpts from lost scenes, behind-the-scenes secrets.

Thank you for making my first venture into the indie world amazing. Hope you enjoy this look back as much as I have. Now I’m going to wipe away my sentimental tears.

Original Title: Losses.

The first published version of Present Perfect has extra scenes that were later edited out.

Dalton was originally a 12-year-old girl. Not to get all hippy-dippy, but he was the most organic character from the book. I had no outline, no idea what his character was going to be and how he would play into Tweet’s life.

I wrote 15 drafts of the book before the final.

The line that ALWAYS makes me laugh. Tweet and Brad are at his house studying.

Tweet- “We need to get ready for that big exam.”

Brad- “I have something big you need to get ready for.”

I was told to cut the Halloween story. Glad I didn’t listen.

I am Tweet.

There was an alternate ending.    6-winking-face

I absolutely love all of those early teasers! I remember buying ebook for .99 right when it came out. It was suggested on my kindle and I thought, why not! I loved this series. 🙂

Alison -this book will always be one that sticks with me forever. I remember reading it and when I finished I sat in the chair in my living room and couldn’t stop crying. It was and still is one of the most beautiful and powerful love stories I’ve read. #tweetandnoahforever #noahtheheartthrob #iwantchocolatecake

I was all sentimental today. Sitting here looking through all the teasers, listening to the playlist, watching the trailer, and rereading parts of he book, I got all misty eyed.

I am hoping to be able to read this series soon. I can’t seem to get caught up on ARC’s. I would probably be caught up if I could learn to say no to anyone that asks me. But as much as I love reading, I LOVE helping out and giving back to you authors my help doesn’t even begin to cover the joy your books bring to my world. Books have been my savior always but especially since 2003! Without being able to escape into what ever world I wanted to throughout the last 12 years, I don’t know that I would be actually sitting here. I have had a few trying times throughout my recovery, and still do. But I have learned to take things day by day, when that doesn’t seem to be working then I take things hour by hour. In the last 12 years there even has been a time or two…or twenty that I’ve had to take things minute by minute. And sometimes, escaping into a book was the only thing that worked! So I can rarely say no if anyone needs the help whether it’s to read and review a book for their release or help out beta reading a WIP. I’ve even read through a complete rough draft that was as the author said, raw right from her fingers and marked it up for any spelling or grammatical errors. I draw the line at punctuation though. I am not good at punctuation but I do have a knack for finding spelling or grammatical errors. But if I’m going to help with formatting I sure wish I could find an easier way to do it than how I have been. So if I don’t get to books on my ginormous TBR list that continues to grow daily, oh well. On July 28th I had 15 books to read and review. When I finish the one I’m on now I will have 2, I think. But one is a pretty long one. A few of the others thankfully were under 200 pages so it went pretty well. But I know I have a few more coming that I committed to awhile ago. But at least 2-5 books are much more manageable. So from myself and all my fellow book-lovers, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my “rock” when I really needed one!~~ <3 <3 ~Jennifer
