During the entire month of December, I’ve been sharing some of my very special toys from my childhood as part of #throwbackthursday. I had a lot of fun pulling these toys out of my closet and reminiscing.  For those who missed the posts on my social media sites, here ya go! Hope they bring you some sweet holiday memories.

Happy Holidays!

Me and my older sister, Kelley. There must have been something awesome in those stockings.

I had a viewmaster to and loved it. Funny how when we were kids we didn’t need cell phones, ipods, ipads, computers or any of that other electronic stuff to stay entertained. Back in our days I think kids had something that the kids now-days don’t have, and that is an imagination! I can remember taking cardboard boxes, kleenex, sponges(my Mom worked at 3M), and tape and I would make houses for one of my little stuffed animals. Use the sponge and cover it in kleenex to make beds and couches. Now days they just go out and buy the stuff.

That is so great that you still had them. I also had a View Master. And to see Captain Kangeroo. Where’s Mr. Green Jeans? Do you remember Mrs. Beasley? I also has a Shrinking Violet doll. We are so telling our ages. You have bought back some great memories for me also. Remember that our clown was Bozo? I bet you remember Happy Raine? I was on her show with my sisters.

Oh my gosh!!! Happy Raine! My sister was on her show. I got to meet her at Ashley Plaza Mall and had her sign her album, Tales from the Teepee. AND, I had a Mrs. Beasley and a Buffy doll. They both might be up in my mom’s attic. I hope so.

I loved my viewmaster, gifts when I was a child were way more simple but made me have to use my imagination, they were fun times. This is a fun giveaway, nothing better then a surprise gift, thanks for the chance.

I have a part in Present Perfect where Tweet is telling her daughter in a letter that if she wants to play with Legos then play with Legos. Not to let anyone tell her its not girly. 🙂

It’s awesome like this that brings a smile after a tough day believing in the spirit.
Watched an elderly woman who had started to unload groceries into her apartment, and upon going inside, a car had been watching, pulled up and stole what was in her trunk.
Disgusting. Myself, a friend, and the community pulled together to get her what she needed for Christmas dinner, which was what was stolen.
Soo thank for a piece of magic on your blog to remind me
